The Numark NS6II comes with all the pro features you would expect on a premium DJ controller. Also, it features an RCA output booth and 2 microphone inputs. Moreover, this controller is a beast for connectivity! It has a balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs for its 24-bit sound card. On the front panel, there are controls for the two mic inputs with 2 band EQ and volume level for each channel. On top, there are 3 banks on either side of the controller to accommodate the Serato DJ’s effects considered as A or B effects. You’ll see 16 big MPC-type performance pads of rubber with RGB illuminated different color lights around the edges, 8 pads on the left, and 8 on the right side under the jog wheels. These full-color displays provide critical information about each deck without any need to look at your laptop. One of the most unique but amazing things about its look and design are 2’’ hi-resolution, built-in color display in the jog wheel’s center. Serato DJ is featured as one of the best DJ software in the market right now! This 4 channel controller comes equipped with the full version of the Serato DJ while the hardware itself is great for a controller very portable for mobile or bedroom DJs that have limited space. Pads are made of black high-quality rubber whereas faders feature plastic construction with metal top. It also features durable metal roll bars along the front that work great for protecting the front-facing control knobs from damage during transport or when there’s a need to lift this controller for connection check-up or setup at any time. Not heavy but it does feel dense and solid! The controller feels really solid with its metal casing with a matte black finish and measures 22.4 x 13.8 x 2.6 inches while weighs only 9.2 lbs. ![]() It has pro-grade connections and components of rugged build quality. ![]() Looking at the build quality, the Numark NS6 II is built with the working DJ in mind. A similar fix may also resolve the issue on the Denon controllers.Check price on Amazon First Look – Design: Can someone please update the NS6 II mapping to only output the "cued" decks audio to the cue audio channel or alternatively have the mapping ignore the "split cue" hardware switch then I can configure how I want and this problem will go away. To test this I 1) set the hardware split cue to off (correct sound) 2) moved the hardware split cue it to on (incorrect audio, master in right ear, master+cue mix in left) 3) Set the software setting splitHeadphones to "no" in vdj8 with the hardware split cue still set to "on" and the audio is correct (master in right, cue in left). The problem is VDJ is generating a split cue in software too as it needs do for devices like the Numark NV that I also have and where the software split cue works perfectly. The ns6 appears to hardware split cue all channels whether they are software or external inputs so all VDJ8 needs to do is output a normal cue channel and let the hardware do the rest. I move between split and normal cueing so I need the mapping to work correctly. ![]() BUT, still the problem with the split cueing. More stability testing to do before I'm convinced to gig with it. Finally got around to upgrading the ns6 ii firmware and it actually seems to be working much more stable and now have platters that work as you expect them too.
